A small species which, like many others is inconspicuous until it flowers, the narrow foliage often hidden by moss growth. A native of southern Africa, the flower stems can reach a height of about 12 cm (4.7 in) and support racemes of yellow/orange, violet and white flowers. U. bisquamata flowers profusely from spring onwards when in good light.
Supplied potted in either a 5.5cm round pot or a <a href=""http://www.floralive.co.uk/en-gb/collections/growing-accessories/products/rigid-square-pots/164119"" target=""_blank"">7cm square pot</a> in which it will happily grow indefinitely, given correct conditions.
