Whilst the cross that resulted in this fine hybrid is a common one, few hybrids have emerged that possess all the qualities this does. The pitchers adopt the fine form of the parent S. flava Slacks Maxima" and can reach similar proportions; upto approx 90cm in height, whilst the colouration is borne more of the S. leucophylla parent.

Pale green with whitish-green dappling around the hood, there is subtle veining which deepens with age. Tends to produce more pitchers than a S. leucophylla but has inherited the vigour of the other parent. The large and showy flowers are plentifully produced on mature clumps and of a marvellous dark peach/light orange colour. Splendid.

Fully hardy in the U.K. so can be grown in a bog garden or container outside but also makes a choice greenhouse plant. Remove all dead foliage as it occurs and stand in soft water throughout the summer reducing watering during the dormant period so the growing medium is just damp. The plant will lose its pitchers in the Autumn as it approaches dormancy.
