This tiny species is the smallest of our U.K. native Sundews, though is nothing like as common as <a href=""http://www.floralive.co.uk/en-gb/collections/drosera-sundews/products/drosera-rotundifolia"">Drosera rotundifolia. The leaves are semi-erect and typically upto 3.5cm long in U.K. examples. The leaf blades are spoon-shaped with red glands; the whole leaf can gradually turn a matching red colour in prolonged good light/sun.

The small white flowers are borne on a short stem that arises from the side of the rosette. As with all native U.K. Sundews, this species dies down to a small winter resting bud in late summer/early autumn.

Can gradually form clumps over time which can make for an arresting sight.

 • Requires a sunny position and prefers a high water table - in nature these are found in the wettest parts of bogs, even sometimes growing as semi-aquatic. Best grown out of doors however a well-ventilated coldframe or cold greenhouse is also acceptable. If grown under glass keep just damp during the winter and only increase watering considerably once again in full growth.
